We can be good news to our neighbours by extending hospitality and welcome newcomers in our community. There are a number of ways to get involved and help support people from all over the world coming to Canada. Check out the organizations listed below to join others in meeting practical needs for newcomers to Canada. 

Special Initiative for Ukrainian Refugees

Join the Alberta Hosts for Ukrainians Support & Info Facebook Group

This group provides current updates on opportunities to get involved with hosting Ukrainian families and helping support them.  

Visit the Kingsway Garden Mall Community Store  

This service centre offers necessities and resources for families in need. There are also volunteer opportunities including helping in the store, driving families to appointments, knitting blankets for babies, and more.

(The store is located on the ground floor of the mall, close to the Home Sense.)

Put together a Welcome Kit

The Welcome Kits are filled with essentials for Ukranian Refugees in need. You can create kits for Women, Children and Seniors and drop them off at the church. They will be delivered throughout the summer.  Click the link below for a printable list of items for the welcome kits.
