Get Baptized

You have chosen to believe in Jesus and are starting to grow in your journey with him, so it’s time to take the next step by being baptized. Baptism is something Christians have been doing for thousands of years as a public declaration of their trust in Jesus.

Read Your Bible

We believe that the Bible reveals Jesus to us and that the Bible is God’s primary way of speaking to us. Studies have shown that reading the Bible is one of the most catalytic things you can do to grow your faith and relationship with Jesus. In the video below, Pastor Mike discusses why we believe reading the Bible is essential and how to get started.

At St. Albert Alliance Church(StAAC), we believe we are better together and that growing in relationship with Jesus includes connecting with others because God uses other people to enrich our lives and help us grow in our faith. At StAAC, we offer two types of groups:  C3 Groups and Small Groups.

Begin Serving

In the Gospels, we see Jesus modelling a life of sacrificial service and inviting his disciples to join him in sacrificial service. Service sacrificially is about using your time, energy, and talents to help others without asking or expecting anything in return. Jesus said that there is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for another (John 15:13), and when we serve others, we demonstrate love and follow Jesus in this practice.

Living as a Steward

The Christian practice of giving grows out of recognizing that we are stewards entrusted with resources for a purpose. When we begin to see all we have, not as things we earned or deserved but as gifts from God, it changes us. We begin to see God as a loving Father who generously provides for His children, and we are drawn closer to Him. We also start to wonder what God might want us to do with the gifts He’s given us. Living as a steward involves drawing close to God to thank Him for his generosity and understanding His heart behind the gift.

How to Know God

These steps are a great way to begin your relationship with God. If you would like someone to walk with you through these steps, please let us know.

  1. Recognize: Recognize that no matter how much we try, we still fall short of being the person we are supposed to be because of sin. Romans 3:23 says that “everyone has sinned” and that sin has cut us off from God (Isaiah 59:2).
  2. Believe: Believe that Jesus died on the cross for the forgiveness of your sins. Romans 5:8 says, “God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” This is the Good News, that God loves us so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus, to die in our place when we least deserve it. When we begin believing the Good News, our lives begin to change. Romans 10:10 says, “It is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.”
  3. Respond: Becoming a Christian is not about believing some creed or going to church. It is about believing and confessing that Jesus is the leader and Saviour of your life. It’s about changing the way you think and act, reorientating your life around what Jesus says and has done. Two words are often used to describe our response to Jesus—repent and confess. The word repent means to change direction, to turn from one way of living towards a new way of living. The word confess is about articulating what you believe about yourself and God. Responding to the Good News of Jesus begins with a simple prayer that declares the truth about you and Jesus and your desire to follow Him.

“Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe you died for my sins. Right now, I turn from my sins towards you. I confess to you as the leader and Saviour of my life. Thank you for saving me. Amen.”

If you prayed this prayer, we would love to celebrate your decision and the new life that you have chosen. We’d also like to help you begin growing your relationship with Jesus and practicing the Jesus way of living.

At St. Albert Alliance Church(StAAC), we believe we are better together and that growing in relationship with Jesus includes connecting with others because God uses other people to enrich our lives and help us grow in our faith. At StAAC, we offer two types of groups:  C3 Groups and Small Groups.

What are C3 Groups?
C3 Groups are Casual, Connecting Communities where we share common interests, hobbies and activities. We have groups that meet to play a Board Game, go for a run, share a meal and many other activities. C3 Groups are a great way to get to know other people around StAAC and from our community.

What are Small Groups?
Small Groups are caring communities where we can safely explore God’s teaching and learn how to apply it to everyday life. Small Groups are more than just Bible studies; they are a great place to share your story and discover how to apply Scripture to your life. Here’s what you can expect in a Small Group:

•You’ll meet with 8-12 other people who desire to grow spiritually, make friends and serve others.
•You’ll share a meal or snack in a relaxed environment.
•You’ll utilize Bible-based studies or curriculum.
•There’ll be discussion and dialogue about God and life.
•There’ll be a time of prayer.

Our groups meet weekly or bi-weekly on a specific day for a set amount of time. We offer groups for teens, women, men, couples and families. We have many groups available that can fit your schedule. We would love to help you join a Small Group.

Begin Serving

There are many ways to get involved in serving at St. Albert Alliance. Click the link below to see the available serving opportunities inside and outside the church.

Living as a Steward

In 2 Corinthians 9:8, we are told God always gives enough to meet our needs and to share with others. Living as a steward involves embracing this truth and changing how we live. If we are to become generous with others—sharing what we have, we will have to recognize the difference between needs and wants. We will have to consume only what we need and share the rest. We believe this way of living expresses the heart of Jesus as is expressed in our Generosity Prayer.

There are many ways to use the resources God has entrusted to us. One of the ways is by giving those resources through the ministries of St. Albert Alliance Church (StAAC). We invite you to consider giving to one or more of the following funds.

  • General Ministry Fund – Gifts to the General Ministry Fund support the ministries and operation of StAAC in and around St. Albert and the capitol region as we seek to be Good News to our neighbours.
  • Compassion Fund – Gifts to the Compassion Fund support families in crisis within the church and our community.
  • Missions Fund – Gifts to the Missions Fund support StAAC ministries and partners as we seek to be Good News in Canada and worldwide.
  • Building Fund – Gifts to the Building Fund are used to pay off StAAC’s mortgage and prepare for Phase 2 of our building project, including completing a gym, more classroom space and additional parking.
