Xtreme Kids

Children matter to God and they matter to us! That’s why in Xtreme Kids, we create age-based, interactive, fun programs that will spark a child’s desire to know and love Jesus. Kids will discover and experience God’s great love for them in a safe and caring environment. We also seek to partner with, encourage and equip families to live out their faith at home and in their communities. Join us as we grow and learn together!

Nursery (Infants & Toddlers)
At this stage, babies are growing and learning faster than in any other phase of life! Babies learn through their senses and can experience the love of Jesus through our caring and nurturing volunteers. Our goal is to create a trusting space for your child with engaging, age-appropriate toys and a clean and safe environment. We want your child to feel safe and loved in Xtreme Kids!
The Littles (2-3yrs) & The Middles (4yrs to Kindergarten)
Preschool kids are curious, imaginative, and excited to make new friends! Our goal is to create space for preschoolers to experience God and His Word through age-appropriate worship, engaging activities and interactive Bible teaching. Movement and play are an important part of this learning environment! Kids are encouraged to move, colour, create, explore, dance, listen and learn! This enables them to be themselves, make friends, and experience the love of Jesus in a fun and creative way! We want your child to know that Xtreme Kids is a safe, fun place where they are seen, loved and heard!
Lower Elementary (Grades 1-4)
The Bible is the most amazing book ever written, and it is our prayer these stories will be brought to life through creative, age-appropriate Bible teaching, games, worship, and small group conversations. Elementary kids are beginning to understand Biblical truths and how to apply them to their own lives. We want your child to know that Church is a great place to ask questions, explore their faith, make friends, and grow to love God and His Word!  This is a place where they are seen, known and loved!
Upper Elementary (IGNITE Grades 5-6)
Grade 5-6 kids will experience a program created specifically for them called IGNITE! At this age, kids are eager to learn and are capable of deep thinking, great discussion and asking BIG questions about God and the Bible. We want to provide space for these kids to explore truth, uncover their identity in Christ, and be challenged to live a life committed to following Jesus! We want your child to feel valued, have fun, make friends and learn that Church is a cool, safe place to belong and grow in their faith!
Baptism
Baptism is an outward act which publicly shows the personal decision an individual has made to follow Jesus and put Him first in everything! Jesus was baptized as an example to us and He said that we should be baptized too! (Matthew 3:13-17)

If your Upper Elementary child has expressed an interest in baptism as the next step in their faith journey, click the link below and fill out the necessary information and we will follow up with your shortly. We would love to meet with your child to discuss God’s plan of Salvation through Jesus, what Baptism is, and why Jesus commands His followers to be baptized.

Please fill out the form if your child is interested in Baptism.

We are on a mission to change the world in Jesus’ name – and you’re invited! Don’t let your fire go out – IGNITE! Ignite meets Wednesdays at 6:30PM.

Child Dedication

Our children don’t come with a manual when they are born, but thankfully God has given us something far better, His Spirit, His Word and community! Child dedication is an opportunity for followers of Jesus to declare their commitment and desire to raise their children to know Jesus and follow Him according to God’s Word and the leading of the Holy Spirit.  Your Church family is committed to being active participants in the spiritual journey of your child. We will partner with you in prayer, teaching, mentoring, and pointing your child to Jesus.

Child dedication may be done in a weekend service or within your small group community. Click the link below if you are interested in child dedication!

We welcome ALL kids to participate in our Xtreme Kids Ministry. It is our desire to partner with parents to provide the best care we can for their children! By working together, we can create a plan to support your child, and provide a safe, accepting, loving environment where your child can grow to know, love and serve Jesus! Xtreme Kids FAQ's

What can we expect for our first visit to Xtreme Kids?
On your first visit, look for the Xtreme Kids Check-In Desk where our team will welcome you and help you register for our programs! You can also skip the line by registering ahead of time by filling out our online forms.  We look forward to meeting you and helping your family get connected!
Is my child SAFE in Xtreme Kids?
The safety of your kids is our highest priority!  Here's how we create a secure and welcoming environment:
- Secure Check-In: Your child will receive a nametag to wear, and a parent/guardian will receive a security tag to pick their child up at the end of the program.

- Safe Pick-Up: To pick up your child after the service, simply show your security tag to the Xtreme Kids leader. Child will only be released to the person with this tag.

- Trained Leaders: All of our incredible Xtreme Kids Volunteers are screened, background checked and have received Plan to Protect training to ensure that your children are safe and secure.

- Parent Alerts: In the event that we need to contact you during the service, you will receive a text message to come to the classroom.
Will my child make FRIENDS in Xtreme Kids?
Absolutely! Our thoughtfully designed environments and lessons help your child grow and connect with kids their age. We purposely make space and time for PLAY in each classroom to help kids build relationships with kids and their leaders!

It is our prayer that as kids make friends, feel safe, known, and loved; their hearts will open to meeting Jesus, experiencing His great love, and choose to follow Him!
What is Child Dedication?
Child Dedication is recognizing that your child is a precious gift from God and making a commitment to raising your child to know, love & follow Jesus. It’s realizing that you are not alone in this journey, God has given you His Spirit to guide you and a faith community to love, support and encourage you!

Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from him.” Psalm 127:3

Child Dedication is not…
An expression of faith or salvation on the child’s part. God’s Word teaches that every person must personally repent of their own sin and make an individual decision to follow Jesus. Parents cannot do this for their children. (Romans 10:9-10)  Your Church family will join you in praying that one day your child will choose to put his/her trust in Jesus!
What can I expect when dedicating my child?
At least one parent must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and strive to live a life that follows the Way of Jesus. A Pastor or Small Group Leader will meet with you regarding the next steps.

When you dedicate your child, you’re committing to raise them in a faith-filled environment, laying a foundation for your child to come to know, love, and serve Jesus. And you are not alone on this journey! As a church family, we will commit to walking alongside your family, with love and support, pointing your child to Jesus. Child dedication is a significant spiritual milestone for your family to experience!

Please fill out the form linked on the Child Dedication section of the page, if you are interested in Child Dedication.
Can I serve in Xtreme Kids?
Say YES to Making a Difference! We think serving in Xtreme Kids is the most fun and rewarding volunteer opportunity! C.S. Lewis said, “Children are not a distraction from more important work. They are the most important work!”

When you invest in the lives of children, you have the opportunity to make an eternal impact on a child’s life that may affect generations to come. Being a part of a child’s faith journey is a gift and it is exciting to see what Jesus can and will do in their lives!

We partner with parents in pointing their children to Jesus.  We pray that the scriptures will come alive for them, and that each one will come to know, love and serve Jesus with their whole hearts.
