Baptism

You have chosen to believe in Jesus and are starting to grow in your journey with him, so it’s time to take the next step by being baptized. Baptism is something Christians have been doing for thousands of years as a public declaration of their trust in Jesus.

How to Know God

These steps are a great way to begin your relationship with God. If you would like someone to walk with you through these steps, please let us know.

BELIEVE: Believe that Jesus is God and that He has paid the price for your sins by dying on the cross. Romans 5:8 says, “God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” When we begin believing the Good News with our hearts and minds, our lives begin to change. Romans 10:10 says, “It is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.”

CONFESS: Becoming a Christian is about believing and confessing that Jesus is the leader and Saviour of your life. To confess is to say what you believe. The first step in confessing is to offer a simple prayer to God:
"Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe you died for my sins. Right now, I turn from my sins towards you. I confess to you as the leader and Saviour of my life. Thank you for saving me. Amen.”

LIVE:  Begin living the new life you have received and experiencing the new relationship you have with God. One word often used when it comes to faith is the word repent. The word repent means to change the way you think and act, reorienting your life around what Jesus says and has done. Living a new life with God means embracing thoughts and actions that build relationships with God and others. To get to know God, we need to spend time with Him through prayer, reading the Bible and connecting with others who are living in relationship with God as well.

If you prayed the prayer above, we would love to celebrate your decision and the new life that you have chosen. We’d also like to help you begin growing your relationship with Jesus and practicing the Jesus way of living.
