Grace Extended

Loving your enemy isn’t easy.  When Jesus talks about loving your enemy, He embodied what that meant.  In our current cultural climate, making short work of those that oppose you or mistreat you is just a scalding “tweet” away.  We’ve begun to praise ourselves and our efforts to dismantle the lives of those who are “against” us.  But Jesus, never does that. Never.

The last supper was one of the most important moment is Jesus’ ministry.  As Jesus and the 12 disciples gather around for their last meal together, Jesus models grace in such a radical way, that when we see it for ourselves, it’s hard not to be moved. The question is, will it move us to be more like the culture around us? Or will the grace of Jesus overwhelm us to love even when it hurts the most?
